Hello All,

I’d like to play off of Diane’s comment about Participant Costs.  I’ve got a NSF grant working with high school students that have learning disabilities that is to help them learn to adapt and add to their skill set.  What do you consider someone who is being a mentor to the participating student?  The students get a small stipend for participating, and the faculty are paid as employees.

I’m trying to resolve the mentor issue as to how to pay.  Of course, this then affects fringe benefits, taxes and overhead.

As always any help is appreciated.
