I found the actual exam to be more difficult than the practice exams because it's longer and therefore there was more opportunity for questions related to areas I don't necessarily work with on a daily basis would pop up, such as HR issues or sponsors that I have no experience with. Those of us that took it at the Tailwind Flight Center (and I believe I was the second person ever) got to enjoy the salty talk of amateur pilots over the course of the exam.

Bring earplugs.

Subject: [RESADM-L] CRA Exam - what's it like

I'm hoping to take the exam this coming Fall. I have not taken any of the review sessions but I have completed research compliance certification programs at two institutions that I've worked at. I've taken the practice exams online a couple of times and they seem relatively easy. Is the actual exam anything like the practice exams? I'm trying to get a sense of whether I need the review sessions. I'd hate to waste money either on unnecessary review or taking an exam that I'm not prepared for.

Thanks for any input from those who have take the exam.
