Grants and Contracts Proposal Specialist
Under general supervision, the
Grants and Contracts Proposal Specialist has responsibility for pre-award
technical assistance to scientific staff and administrators in grant and
contract proposal development and submission to Federal, private and industry
sponsors in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Bachelor’s
Degree (Accounting, Public/Business Administration, or related preferred), and
a minimum of 5 years of directly related
education or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least
three years experience working in grants and contracts, development, sponsored
programs, business development, project management or related area.
Experience in a scientific research environment preferred. Knowledge
of federal regulations (OMB Circulars A-21, A-133 and A-110); Familiarity with
the grant and contract policies of major state, federal, and non-profit funding
agencies; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong computer
skills, including MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat; Professional demeanor; Ability
to establish priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines; Prefer experience with
CostPoint, Banner, or other project management/accounting software
package. Must have sense of humor and be able to work in a team. To
