What is the nature of the other pay? If it
is a one-time bonus or incentive, it does not need to be included in effort
reporting because it is not considered base pay. You can’t anticipate it
or include it as base pay in proposals. If the pay represents an administrative
supplement for university work (ie. department head or unit director
compensation), the extra pay is considered base pay, must be included as base
pay in proposals and must be included in effort reporting. Effort may never
exceed 100% but all pay for university contractual activity must be included in
the 100%.
