I am currently reviewing a proposed
budget just brought to our office. It includes a split-fund request of
support for work (mainly to be done in the summer, with a few hours also during
the subsequent spring academic semester). It requests salary support, yet
also includes summer cost share salary as well.
Can one cost share time and effort
during the summer months (which is beyond their 9-month contract)? In what
circumstances is it allowable, how is it certified?
This project is due tomorrow.
