We were told to just put a cover letter (from the optional forms) with the application and send it on in--but it's an R21.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Question RE: late submission of an R15 electronic submission to the NIH because of study section duties

Good morning-

I thought I’d ask this of the list, b/c I’m likely to get a much quicker reply.

We have a PI who is has been granted an additional 2 weeks to submit her R15 (deadline is October 25th) because she on a NIH study section.

With paper submissions, we always sent the NIH a note along with the grant proposal, indicating that the PI had additional time as a result of taking part in the study section.

Does anyone know if there is anything special we need to do to submit the electronic application late? Will Grants.gov/NIH accept late applications?

As always, I really appreciate your feedback.

Cheers,

Pam
