The George Washington University (GW) has recently announced the position of Director of Grants and Contracts Accounting Services (GCAS).   We are seeking a grants and contracts professional individual to be a part of our management team.

GW’s increasing focus on becoming a national center for research excellence is reflected in the significant growth in sponsored research programs at the University from approximately $54 million in expenditures in 1997 to approximately $125 million in 2004.  Along with this growth in research activity is the investment in people and resources necessary to enable GW to conduct research in accordance with the highest standards of ethics for academic scholarship, personal integrity and business conduct.

This very responsible and demanding position is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the University’s Research Administration operation. We are seeking a highly qualified person to lead our post-award group and be part of the leadership team in a fully integrated research administration unit.

GCAS maintains its operation at the GW Virginia Campus, which is its flagship research and technology campus located in Loudoun County in the heart of Northern Virginia.  About 30 miles outside of Washington, D.C., Loudoun County is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation.  It is a burgeoning technology and biomedical research region to the east, and historical horse country to the west.

This position needs an experienced person with management and leadership skills in order to bring the office and its staff to high levels of achievements.  Please see below or visit our website at www.gwu.edu for more information. Position number R000014803.
