Although it should also apply to those institutions who issue subawards to those in the affected areas, it is clearly not addressed in this memo.  I would certainly make a phone call to David Zavada, whose name and number are referened at the end of the memo, if I had such a subaward.  They do need to clarify this for everyone.

Does anyone wish to speculate on what this means for Grantees NOT in the Disaster Area with subawards to schools therein? I would imagine most of us are dealing with a subaward or two that is affected by the storms.

office regarding the impact of hurricanes Katrina and Rita on research
