Does anyone wish to speculate on what this means for Grantees NOT in the Disaster Area with subawards to schools therein? I would imagine most of us are dealing with a subaward or two that is affected by the storms.

Subject: Katrina relief

 

Representatives from LSU and Tulane had been in contact with the COGR
office regarding the impact of hurricanes Katrina and Rita on research
grants at affected institutions. After discussion with OMB officials on
the need for government-wide administrative relief, the OMB Controller
has issued the attached memorandum to Chief Financial Officers and
Grants Policy Officials.
