We are not a University, but we also have
grant hires and a zealous HR department.
Yes, they set the salary – it has to
fit within PHI’s Title & Pay Plan.
Yes, they approve the job description and
title – for the same reason.
Qualifications and suitability are set and
approved by the manager of the department and, ultimately, by the Vice President
he or she reports to.
