The University of Kentucky is a Research I, Doctoral institution with external research funding in excess of $200 million dollars annually. The university is looking for a knowledgeable, energized individual who works well in a team environment. The successful individual will become a member of a team of 3 accounting managers leading internal staff and acting as liaisons for university faculty and staff in dealing with financial compliance issues. A job summary of the position follows:
Accounting Manager II
Supervise cost transfer, effort reporting and cost sharing function in the Sponsored Projects Accounting department. Conduct training sessions and advise campus departments about policies and procedures related to grants and contracts. Perform other duties such as calculation of interest due to the federal government, completion of surveys, letter of credit draw downs and reconciliations. A degree in accounting with a background in externally sponsored grants or contracts and post-award management is preferred. Strong communication, analytical, technical and interpersonal skills are preferred.
Annual salary range: $45,094-74,464
