COMPENSATION
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation or GED
certificate and five years of experience in office, secretarial, bookkeeping,
accounting or general administrative work with one of the five years working in
grants and contracts. College education in an applicable field may be
substituted, year-for-year, for up to three years of office, secretarial,
bookkeeping or accounting experience, one of which must be working in grants and
contracts. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum
qualifications.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelors
degree and two years of experience in office, secretarial, bookkeeping,
accounting or general administrative work with one of the two years working in
grants and/or contracts.
DESCRIPTION
This position
reports to the Academic Grants Manager and provides assistance with the
preparation and submission of institutional grant and contract applications from
the faculty and staff, performs pre- and post-award grant-related record keeping
and logistical support, and may provide administrative and fiscal support to the
Academic Budget Office staff as needed. The primary focus of this position is
academic grants and contracts support and therefore, works closely with the
faculty and academic staff for grant and contract planning, writing, budget
preparation and accounting. This position also provides grant submission support
to other College divisions. A substantial number of current grant submissions
are science-related.
