Director of Sponsored Programs: The University of North Carolina at Charlotte seeks an experienced professional to join its Financial Services team as Director of Sponsored Programs.  The Director will provide daily oversight of a staff of twelve working in the following areas:  Contracts and Grants, responsible for administration of federal, state, public, and private funding awarded to the University; Foundation Accounting, responsible for maintaining financial records and performing fiscal functions and tax reporting for multiple independent legal entities; and Endowment Accounting, responsible for endowments, trust funds, and investment funds.  The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong management skills, the ability to establish collaborative working relationships throughout the University, the ability to manage multiple priorities, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be viewed as a team player, and be able to make accurate and timely decisions.  The most qualified candidates will demonstrate success in supervisory roles in the areas identified (Contracts and Grants, Foundations, and Endowments). If unable to identify candidates with this set of skills, we will concentrate on those candidates with experience and success in Contracts and Grants.  The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field and five years of relevant, progressively responsible experience, preferably in a college or university.  Also required is understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, familiarity with federal grant regulations, experience negotiating the F&A rate, experience with investment securities and automated accounting systems, familiarity with computer-based presentation techniques and word-processing and spreadsheet software.  Preferred is familiarity with Internal Revenue Service regulations as they pertain to charitable donations, fringe benefits, accountable plans, and royalty payments.  To Apply:  Please forward a letter of interest and resume to Morgan Roseborough, Chair, Director of Sponsored Programs Search Committee, Division of Business Affairs, UNC Charlotte, 9201 University City Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28223-0001 or electronically to xxxxxx@email.uncc.edu.
