GRANTS SPECIALIST

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine is seeking a detail-oriented professional with experience in the management of grants and contracts for a Grants Specialist position in the Office of Sponsored Programs at our Headquarters in Rockville, MD. As a Grants Specialist you will work with investigators, performance site administrators, funding agency contracts and internal departments to manage pre-award and post-award sponsored programs activities. Responsibilities include reviewing grant applications prepared by investigators and assuring their compliance with submission requirements, policies and federal regulations.  The ability to organize and prioritize tasks; knowledge of record keeping and filing; possess outstanding communication skills; and strong experience in spreadsheets and database software is required – PeopleSoft experience a plus.  Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field) and 3 years experience in grants management preferably in a University, Medical School, or scientific environment for non-profit institutions, although Federal Government or Federal Government price contractor experience is also of interest.
