Program Manager II/Corporate Affairs Liaison
Requires a master's
degree in business administration, master's degree in public administration,
Juris Doctor, LLB or related field and six years of progressively responsible
experience to include expertise in licensing and negotiation of legal contracts.
Prefer three to five years legal experience in a corporate, academic or
government agency environment practicing a broad range of issues associated with
intellectual property management and technology transfer and academic/industrial
contracting; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of statutory and case law
governing research contracts, grants and licenses; demonstrated knowledge of
statutory and case law governing patents; skilled liaison with internal and
external clients fostering cooperation among parties in developing, negotiating
and executing contracts; proven ability to work as a member of a professional
team establishing and maintaining professional relationships with all members;
excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to
operate in a computerized office and make maximum use of available technologies.
The USC Research Foundation operates in support of the University of South
Carolina providing the means and facilities to promote, encourage, and aid
scientific investigation and research. The Corporate Affairs Liaison will
support all the functional areas of USCRF and is an integral part of research
administration. Will report directly to the Foundation's Managing
