Re: Word Perfect/Adobe Acrobat Winnie Ennenga 07 Dec 1999 23:41 EST

The WordPerfect to PDF conversion is the same as for Office 97/Word 97 to
PDF. One likely explanation is that the document was compromised when it
was translated to Office 97/Word 97, since Word will only recognize
WordPerfect 5 (published 7 or 8 years ago).

The good news is that WordPerfect will open and save to the same generation
Word files. Additionally, WordPerfect versions 6 through 9 are compatible,
so P.I.s can work together even if they are not using the same version.
Adobe Acrobat is included in the WordPerfect 9 package, so you do not have
to purchase additional software to convert files to PDF! All this helps
P.I.s concentrate on their science instead of the mechanics of
communicating, which is "a good thing!" and which helps explain the
durability of WordPerfect in this imperfect world!

I'd be glad to help you with the conversion if you'd like to contact me
directly.
