Researcher recognition awards Kathleen Harris 21 Oct 1999 09:17 EST

Our chancellor has generously offered to set aside a sum of money to make cash awards to outstanding faculty researchers. These will not be research funds but checks made out to individuals. As a result we are reviewing our current awards program and would like to know what kinds of awards, criteria and procedures other institutions have in place. A short list of questions follows. Alternatively you can e-mail (xxxxxx@ttu.edu) or fax (806/742-3892) material describing your program(s). Please respond directly to me. I will post a summary for the entire list.

Name of program(s)?

Number of awards?

Amount of awards?

Nomination and selection procedures?

Criteria for selecting recipients?

Are awards apportioned within the institution in any way (number per college, number per rank, etc.)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kathleen
