The NIST Advanced Technology Program (ATP) is offering a workshop to help
non-profits
and companies collaborate in ATP awards. Entitled "Leveraging State
Resources and
University Partnerships", this workshop will be held on Monday morning,
November 15,
in San Jose as part of the 1999 ATP National Meeting. A workshop agenda can
be viewed
through at http://www.atp.nist.gov/nationalmeeting/lev_agen.htm.

Topics to be covered will include how non-profits (and particularly
universities)
participate in ATP, what benefits companies and non-profits receive by
collaborating
in an ATP project, ways in which a non-profit/industry partnership can
maximize its
chance for success, and how non-profits can meet their IP needs in an ATP
award.
Non-profit and industry representatives who may want to collaborate in an
ATP project
are encouraged to attend this workshop.
