My experience in dealing with salary caps is to just simply but the salary cap
figure in the salary column; percentage of effort calculations are then taking
from the salary cap. . .we do have several PIs whose salary exceed the $125,900
cap; however, HHS/NIH will only recognize $125,900.  As a result, we always just
put the salary cap in the salary column and never put the 'true' salary amounts
that are paid from other sources.  HHS/NIH has never questioned this. . .hope
