Syracuse University is recruiting for the following position:

Research Development Administrator

Syracuse University seeks nominations and applications for the position
of Research Development Administrator. The Research Development
Administrator is responsible for the promotion of research funding at
the University. The position includes responsibility for identification
and communication of funding opportunities, orientation of faculty in
basic skills of grantsmanship, assistance with proposal preparation and
presenting workshops on funding opportunities and proposal development.
The Research Development Administrator reports to the Director of the
Office of Sponsored Programs.

Candidates should have at least a Master's degree with a background in a
technical or quantitative discipline combined with a minimum of five
years of progressive sponsored programs experience.  Candidates should
have highly developed written and oral communication skills, ability to
deal effectively with faculty and administrators, demonstrated
familiarity with federal and private funding sources and federal
policies and procedures, skill in expository writing in a grant seeking
environment as well as computer literacy and experience with Internet
techniques.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and
qualifications.  Review of applications will continue until the position
