It is my understanding that you cannot pay "overtime" and additional
compensation for the same work that the person does during his/her "day job"
would be just that.  It is our policy that if the individual is an engineer
in his "day job", we can pay additional compensation at an appropriate rate
for doing a "different" job, for example teaching arobics.  We would pay this
person extra compensation at an appropriate rate for an arobics instructor
but he/she cannot be paid extra compensation as an engineer.  It simply is
the law.
