The University of Missouri-Columbia Office of Sponsored Program
Administration (OSPA) has an immediate opening for a Grants & Contracts
Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications:  a bachelor's degree in business administration,
accounting, English, or journalism or an equivalent combination of education
and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be
acquired.  3 - 4 years of experience in grants and contract administration
is required.  PC and mainframe experience is preferred.  Ability to work
under the pressure of grant-related deadlines with a variety of personnel,
from clerical level to faculty, chair, dean level.

Essential Duties:  Review/grant/contract applications and related documents
for compliance with University, state, federal, and sponsor
guidelines/regulations.  Advise faculty/departmental personnel regarding
budgets, forms, etc.  Negotiate terms of grant awards and other documents.
Coordinate with Legal, patents & Licensing Offices, etc.  Develop/negotiate
subcontracts.  Create and maintain proposal/negotiation/award files in OSPA
satellite office location away from main office.  In satellite office,
supervise 1 - 3 clerical or office support personnel.  Develop/maintain
understanding of internal/external policies & regulations pertaining to
proposal for and administration of grants, contracts, and other external
awards.  Remain current on federal/state laws and OMB Circulars relating to
grant activities.  Complete special assignments related to position
responsibilities as requested by Director, OSPA or immediate supervisor.

Salary Range:  $27,012 to $48,830.  Benefit Eligible:  100%.
