Editing proposals choward@xxxxxx 05 Sep 1997 16:46 EST

We have been approached by a health agency outside of the university
to help them in the editing and critiquing of a proposal that they
will be submitting to a federal government agency. They evidently
have a required format and are responding to a series of questions.
The proposal runs over 300 pages of text. Naturally, they also want
a rapid turnaround. Their question to me was if anyone here or in
the university could do it and how much would they be charged.

Do any of you have any guidance? Have you edited proposals for
people or agencies not affiliated with the university? If you as an
individual or one of your colleagues did do some editing, what was
the amount charged? Was the charge per page, by the hour, or for the
total project? Any information you can give me would be helpful.

Either respond to this listserve or to me at my email address.

Many thanks.
