Charlie:

Municipal governments do not have 501(c)3 exemptions. A few
foundations will make exceptions to their 501(c)3 rules thereby
allowing awards to municipalities.

Hi all-
I have a general question that may not belong here.
For the purposes of soliciting funds/grants from private foundations,
do municipal governments have the appropriate tax exempt status?
Is it 501(c)(3)? Or a variation?
Thanks for all replies.
