Also consider Paradox.  A very powerful program.  The Corel Office Suite
includes it on their CD-ROM.  If your school has a contract with them the
entire suite costs ca $137.  What a deal
I've generated entire Admin database system with Paradox.  Integrate the
awards with proposal side.  Alot of the same information is used by each.
