Grant Seeker Classes by Internet -Reply Laura Mahoney 15 Apr 1997 08:02 EST

I took a 3-hour course called "How to Find Grant Sources Electronically"
offered by the Northern Virginia Community College. The instructor was
the Grants Admin. from the college. I did not find it especially useful and
was surprised at how much I already knew. Fortunately, it didn't take
much time out of my day and the cost was only $37.

My recommendation would be to take a more basic course on using the
Internet. Once you know these basics, finding grant information is fairly
easy.

Has anyone had any experience taking courses on seeking grants or
writing proposals via the internet? If so, was it worth the time and
money?
