Project Director's manual Kimberly Forde 04 Sep 1996 07:35 EST

This year, a session on developing a manual for project directors has
been scheduled at the SRA Annual Meeting in Toronto. We invite you to
share your thoughts and perspectives on this topic. We'd like to hear
about your best and worst experiences with developing and promoting
the use of investigator's guides: hilarious, scary, appalling,
endearing. What do you feel should absolutely, positively be included
in every good investigator's guide? What was your purpose in
developing the manual (encourage activity, demystify the process, lay
down the rules, etc)? What were some of the best resources for you as
you pulled your manual together? Is your manual available on the Web?
If so, what is your URL? What strategies have you employed to get
your project directors to actually use the manual? How is your manual
 distributed? How is it updated?

In addition, we would like to invite you all, once again, to bring in
samples of your existing manuals for display throughout the annual
meeting. Manuals will be collected at the Membership table near the
Registration area. Please be sure to include the following
information: Is the manual accessible on the Web (if so, please
provide the URL)? Are hard copies available? At what price? Who
should be contacted for further information?

Please email your responses directly to Kim Forde at xxxxxx@umich.edu.

Thanks! We look forward to hearing from you.
