The University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for the position of
Coordinator of Post Award Services within the Office of Sponsored Projects. The
successful candidate will join an organization with an annual award volume of
$15 million from approximately 350 proposals.

Position Description:

The Coordinator of Post-Award Services provides support to the Director of
Sponsored Projects and to relevant faculty and staff in matters related to the
post-award administration of externally sponsored projects.  The Coordinator of
Post-Award Services reviews all award documents  for compliance with applicable
University, State, Federal and Sponsor regulations, prepares and monitors all
subrecipient agreements, coordinates institutional and sponsor administrative
prior approvals, and assists with the administrative aspects of closeout and
audit. The Coordinator also plans and conducts workshops for faculty and staff
on contractual and compliance issues, and is responsible for the development of
databases and files for tracking of related data.

Position Qualifications:

BachelorUs Degree or equivalent experience;  at least one to three years of
experience in a University post-award sponsored project administration setting;
thorough knowledge of Federal regulations with regard to the post-award
administration of sponsored projects, and of sources of information concerning
these regulations; experience with subcontracting under Federal awards,
including subrecipient monitoring  (knowledge of, and experience with, the
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) preferred); strong computer skills,
preferably in a Macintosh environment; demonstrated ability to work with diverse
University constituencies, under pressured circumstances;  demonstrated ability
to assume initiative and responsibilities as needed;  demonstrated ability to
execute multiple tasks and respond to multiple demands as part of a team;  and
well developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary:        $36,000 - $40,000
