Entry-Level Programmer Position

Dartmouth College's Administrative Computing department is considering hiring
an entry-level programmer into an existing Sr. Programmer/Analyst position.
The incumbent will be trained to support a wide array of financial systems,
including Budgeting & Planning, Grants & Contracts and some General Ledger
(FAS) related projects. The work initially will involve mostly support of
existing systems; as the incumbent gains skills, it will evolve to include
design and development of new systems and/or implementation of new packaged
systems.

This would be an opportunity for a motivated person with good aptitude and some
background in programming to gain experience in a professional environment.
The ideal candidate will have taken several college courses in either a
Computer Science or a Business Systems degree program, but need not have
finished the degree. We're looking for that one-in-a-million candidate with
excellent communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to excellence, and an
intense desire to learn how to produce computer-based systems that will make a
difference in the working lives of Dartmouth employees. Motivation to learn
and willingness to work diligently are a must. If you fit this profile, please
