 I am seeking views from subscribers on an appropriate job title for a
 new position (mine!) in our Research Support Unit.

 Following the establishment of the Research Support Unit here at
 Manchester University (UK) a year ago, my job has evolved from that of
 providing support at the pre-award level, to a more policy-oriented
 one concerned with strategic information and the development of
 new/improved  services by the Unit. Specifically my responsibilities
 include (but are not limited to):

 - the production of strategic information on the institution's
 research performance and the development of policy relating to this;

 - assisting in the development of appropriate management information
 systems;

 - developing new research support services in close collaboration with
 key staff (administrative and faculty) in departments and schools.

 Any ideas on appropriate job title (Special Projects Officer, Development
