I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide regarding
coverage for professional liablilty (malpractice) of clinical
faculty.

1.  Who covers the faculty - medical school or hospital or are the
faculty self-insured?

2.  Does the school own the hospital?

3.  What type of hospital is it - non-profit, governmental,
municipal, etc.?

4.  How much coverage is provided?

5.  Does the coverage mention research specifically?

6.  Who pays for the coverage?

7.  Do faculty contribute to the cost?

8.  Do faculty carry supplemental insurance?

9.  Is the insurer the same as the one that covers the medical
school?

I realize this is a bit much but we have a meeting with our dean next
week and I would dearly love to introduce some facts into the
discussion.  Partial replies also would be helpful.  If you prefer to
call rather than to respond "in writing" that would be fine.
