An associate of mine is an executive recruiter in the health care industry
and has asked me to help him identify potential candidates for a current
opportunity in grants development/fund raising in the San Antonio area.

THOMAS R. MOORE EXECUTIVE SEARCH has been retained by the Cancer Therapy and
Research Center in San Antonio, Texas, to recruit a Deputy Director of
Foundation Giving.

THE OPPORTUNITY:  The new position of DIRECTOR OF FOUNDATION GIVING will
report to the Chief Development Officer.  The individual selected for this
position will be responsible for the establishment and implementation of a
comprehensive medical grants fund raising program.

The selected individual assumes responsibility for creating and maintaining
an infrastructure to support clinical research to include proposal writing,
evaluation, finding and assimilating of information.  The position is
responsible for the supervision and training of any full-time or volunteer
personnel in the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Our client seeks an enthusiastic, highly motivated
development professional with a proven record of success in grantsmanship
and with general knowledge of all components in a comprehensive health care
fund raising program.

Expertise in the outline, design and presentation of various research,
government, private and public grant proposals is necessary.  Experience in
working as a team player with medical and community leadership is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must along with
management experience of professional and volunteer staffs.

An undergraudate degree is required with a graduate degree preferred.
