Cincinnati Inquirer Freedom of Information Act Request James F Ball 02 Nov 1995 07:30 EST

We are interested in hearing how other institutions are responding who have
received the Freedom of Information act request from the Cincinnati Inquirer or
USA Today for access to annual and final reports on NIH grants for the past ten
years and other project specific information. In Ohio, we are subject to the
State of Ohio open records statutes; however, we are also interested in knowing
how other institutions intend to handle this request in light of the Family
Privace Act ("The Buckley Amendment") and protection of trade secrets.

If you wish to respond, please contact Jilda Garton, OSURF Vice-President for
Research Administration Services at (614) 292-4284 or by e-mail at
xxxxxx@osu.edu; or, you may contact Steve McDonald at xxxxxx@osu.edu.
Thank you.
