> A revised version of the NSF Grant Policy Manual (GPM) (NSF 95-26) is
> currently being printed and will be effective as of October 1, 1995.
> This new GPM replaces the previous version (NSF 88-47, including the
> nine transmittal memoranda issued since July 1989). A complete list
> of significant changes is included in the GPM. Among other things, it
> implements the new NSF Investigator Financial Disclosure Policy as
> well as incorporates current NSF policies, practices and procedures.
> The GPM also has been reorganized to more closely follow the NSF award
> cycle from issuance of an award through administration and close-out.
>
> A single paper copy of the new GPM will be sent to the Authorized
> Organizational Representative at current NSF grantees by early
> September. The GPM also is available by subscription from the
> Superintendent of Documents, Government Printing Office, Washington,
> DC 20402 or (202) 512-1800.
>
> In addition, the complete text of the GPM is NOW available
> electronically on NSF's Science and Technology Information System
> (STIS) as nsf9526.txt which can be downloaded. (The introduction
> package which contains the summary of significant changes as well as
> a side by side Table of Contents which compares the old and new
> versions of the GPM is available as nsf9526s.txt.) In the near
> future, the GPM also will be available in both Microsoft Word and
> html formats. (When available, a notice will be placed on the
> Grants Bulletin Board.) NSF encourages use of these electronic
> formats as a means of accessing the GPM. In addition, many of the
> forms contained in the Manual also have been developed in Microsoft
> Word format for ease in submission to NSF.
>
> Any questions regarding the revised version of the GPM should be
> referred to the Policy Office at xxxxxx@nsf.gov or by phone on
> 703-306-1243.
