The Smithsonian Institution's Office of Sponsored Projects is seeking an
Indirect Cost/Audit Analyst to develop and prepare the Smithsonian's
indirect cost proposals; perform special cost allocation studies on
indirect cost recovery; establish internal controls for grants and
contracts; negotiate rates and costing methods with federal negotiators;
and design automated grant/contract management and indirect cost audit
systems to meet management needs and to respond to specific regulations.
Position requires knowledge of grant and contract guidelines and
regulations applicable to audit and indirect costs calculation; skill in
negotiation and problem resolution in a highly complex decentralized
organization; knowledge of Federal and private grant administration;
knowledge of automated financial and information systems; and skill in
making independent judgments while maintaining high quality work
standards and meeting deadlines.
