If you can publish your results freely, what is the problem? Even NIH
holds biases regarding certain clinical treatments or toward bioresearch
techniques. Membership sponsors, such as the Electrical Power Research
Institute (EPRI), support research into the health effects of electromagnetic
waves, and, perhaps surprisingly, some of the EPRI research points to potential
connections between EMF's and a variety of ailments. I have been amazed
at the censorship attempted by our more "politically correct" sponsors,
again, including NIH, which a few years back wanted to "approve" publications
generated from an NHLBI study. If your agreement allows for free dissemination
of results (i.e., non-classified), the question of sponsorship becomes
peripheral.
