NIH Salary Cap Liz Mazzella 28 Apr 1994 10:05 EST

Lou Pelligrino of Purdue attempted to post this message to the list
in reply to my message of last week. It got bounced to me as an error,
but I am reposting it so the group can share the response: Thanks Lou.

To the best of our knowledge, the salary cap applies to ALL
grants from DHHS since it was contained in the DHHS
Appropriation from Congress. That would mean it applies to
all DHHS units such as NIH, ADAMHA, CDC, FDA, etc...

If anyone out there has a different interpretation of this or
has contrary information, please share it with the rest of us...

 Thanks,

Lou - the reason for the error in posting: Apparently you
used the REPLY feature of your e-mail. In some cases, this feature
causes problems with the LISTSERV as it appends the original message
along with your reply so there are 2 TO: and 2 FROM: lines and it
"confuses" (for lack of a more technical term) the mailer.Although
there are ways to configure your e-mail at your end to avoid this
problem, I have advised all subscribers in the past to avoid
using REPLY unless they have a local e mail guru who can fix this particular
problem. Also, another problem with REPLY --appending the entire text of
a previous message can lead to some hefty messages.

P.S. I like your train :-)
