Tony -

Not only will you continue to be unable to get any work done (what research
administrator ever foes) but your e-mail box will no longer provide housing for
homeless spiders.

Seriously, on the balances in fixed price contracts, we take the IDCs once
and transfer the balances to accounts that do not incur IDC charges (although
the thought of double dipping on certain projects might be woth considering).

About the "investment income" - remember that the interest on federal projects
belongs to the feds! I like keeping the interest on the others in a central
account - less paperwork, better control of university resources. At a
large institution like UCLA the interest is probably worth the effort.

Welcome to the group!
