I spoke with our personnel office this morning and they tell me that they do
not make any special provisions/requirements for hires on grants or
contracts.  The actual posting for the position states that the job is "grant
funded" and they are told by the department and the personnel office that the
posion will last only as long as the funding, but as far as I could tell,
Rutgers does not treat them any differently contractually or otherwise.

The woman I spoke with did say that they do their best to fit people into
other positions at the university if and when their position disolves with
the grant.
