GRANTS SPECIALIST/SENIOR GRANTS SPECIALIST position open in central office at NYU School of Medicine/Langone Medical Center Sara Stanley 05 Jan 2016 12:45 EST

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Grants Specialist/Senior Grants Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the faculty to process and review grant applications; maintaining database of applications; managing information systems by providing up-to-date sponsor policies and regulations; performing complex grant administration and fiscal management tasks; leading grant preparation and submission processes; overseeing and supporting all aspects of the grants program; and conducting ongoing monitoring and evaluations. You will also be responsible for coordinating activities related to the application; setting up grant accounts; managing new awards; continuing grants and/or contracts from a variety of federal, state, and private sources; and providing hands-on training sessions for administrators.

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree; three years of broad grants administration experience or other relevant experience in all aspects of proposal review; knowledge of grant policies and regulations for the public and private sectors; be able to meet deadlines; and be computer proficient with database management, spreadsheets, word processing applications and the Internet. Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and oral and written communication skills are essential. A Master’s degree is preferred.
