Dear Debra:

UMB entered into a subcontract with the WHO Collaborating Centre which is part of the Ministry of Health, Myanmar. If you want to give me a call I can explain the process we went through and how we ended up being able to transfer funds to Myanmar.

Dear Colleagues,

I have a faculty member who would like to set up a Subagreement to the Burmese Ministry of Health. (private sponsor) I know that many economic restrictions/sanctions against Burma were lifted in 2012 as result of Hilary Clinton’s visit there.
Has anyone sent over funds to Burma in a Sub and if so, did you have export control/clearance issues?

Thanks so much,
Debra
