We do not log preliminary proposals or require them to go through the routing process. However, for the most part, all preliminary proposals are usually submitted by our office but in some instances the PI will submit it and we ask the PI to submit a copy to our office for our records. If the PI is asked to submit a full proposal, then our office will submit it and require it to go through the routing process as well as log it into our proposal tracking system.
