Re: Crazy errors from Grants.gov Zoya Hamilton 14 May 2009 11:07 EST

I thought I'd add my 2 cents worth to this. I had three cases of these
"crazy errors" lately. Four days grants.gov time to contact you turned
out to be an empty promise. I only "escalated" my case once for one of
the Challenge grants, and yet two weeks after this promise no one had
contacted me about my case.

Reprocessing is also doubtful. Not one of the three applications has
been reprocessed. So I say - try to figure it out yourself after reading
a healthy dose of the listserv posts and RESUBMIT.

One time the error was triggered by the two attachment files having the
same file name. Interestingly, one of these attachments was in the form
on the left side.

Another time, it was caused by the space between the file name and the
dot (i.e. BudJust .pdf). Interestingly, I've never had any issues with
the spaces in the file names as long as they are between the words.

And the third one remains a mystery - I resubmitted without changes and
it went through.
