I was also asked for this information when I called to follow up on an
application.  I specifically told the help desk person that the MPIN is
for CCR and that I did not understand what it had to do with escalating
my issue to the next level.  I was informed rather curtly that if I did
not provide it, the issue would not be escalated.  I offered our FEID
but was told that was not sufficient.  Then, obviously reading from a
checklist, she asked a series of what I consider totally irrelevant
questions - I was not having technical difficulties submitted the
application, I was having an issue with a DUNS number error.

I think this asking for passwords stuff is a very serious issue.  I
would urge those who experienced this behavior by the G.g help desk to
report this up the G.g food chain, starting with Michael Pellegrino.
They really should not be doing this.
