Re: My challenge grant still hasn't been validated... Newton, Debbie 24 Apr 2009 09:15 EST

We JUST (minutes ago) received a validation for a proposal we submitted
on Tuesday at 4:15 PM. SO maybe they are starting to move through the
system... (fingers crossed)

validated...

Just an update. It is has now been more than 48 hours and when I called
g.g this morning, I was told they are in process waiting to be
validated. I explained it is now over 48 hours. They very politely
gave me a case number and told me all I can do is continue to call back
occasionally and check on the status of my submissions.

There is something that has me a bit bothered. Shelli stated that
grants.gov confirmed that her submissions were received and are in the
process of being validated. However, they told me because I had only
gotten
the "received" email they couldn't confirm anything. I had to wait 48
hours
and then call back. Yesterday, someone also mentioned after a phone call
to
grants.gov it was confirmed the submission had been received. Why can't
they confirm my submissions have been received and are just in a que
waiting
their turn for validation? Puzzeling!!

You are not alone. I was checking my e-mail at midnight. I finally
called
grants.gov this morning. They confirmed that my submissions were
received
and are in the process of being validated. Although I still haven't
received the e-mail.

I know we're trying to be patient, due to MASSIVE volume for all the
Challenge grant submissions, but I want to make sure that I'm not the
only
one who is still waiting for a validation (as well as the other) g.g
e-mail
for a proposal submitted late Tuesday afternoon. I find myself waking up
in
the middle of the night and fighting to not jump out of bed and log onto
the
computer to see if my proposals have shown up in eCommons yet.

I know how pathetic that is but I also know that all of you can relate
even
if my family and non-research administrator friends can't!

Looking forward to some assurances from you guys that I'm not alone...
