Re: G.g registration of individuals for NEH fellowships Gina Betcher 23 Apr 2009 07:46 EST

I believe they're registered because they're faculty at your
location. However, they can apply as themselves. They select an
option on how they're to apply--as an individual in this instance.

Good morning,
We've got some faculty members interested in applying for NEH
fellowships that require they register with Grants.gov as
individuals rather than using our institutional registration.

Here's the typical problem: We registered someone as an individual
(not an institutional proposal). The registration doesn't go through
because the system is clogged up. Then, trying again later, it goes
through, but the grants.gov system says "this e-mail already
exists", when, in fact, the registration never went through. Then,
a series of fruitless e-mails to
xxxxxx@grants.gov<mailto:xxxxxx@grants.gov>, in which the
problem described is never really addressed.

Anyone else running into this, and found a solution?
