Re: Adobe & Grants.gov compatibility Bob Beattie 01 Oct 2008 14:27 EST

Be careful, Adobe Reader 8.1.2 (not just any 8.1.x) is the minimum
version. Adobe Reader 9.0 is best.
Everything I have read, and my own testing, leads me to believe that
any type of .pdf file can be attached. Do note that the NIH SF424 (R&R)
Application Guide for NIH and Other PHS Agencies for Adobe Pilots,
Page I-11 gives info on how to make appropriate .pdf files.

Regarding the Adobe compatibility issue with g.g.

I know 8.1.x is the minimum compatible version to open and work with the
Grants.gov package. But can anyone tell me if the same is true for the
attachments to be uploaded in the package? I'm likely to receive PDFs
from a
variety of sources, do I need to confirm that these have all been
"created"
using no lower than version 8.1.x ? Or is the compatibility strictly
an issue for
creating and saving the Grants.gov package?

My apologies if I've missed this particular discussion on the List.

Thx in advance.
