Grants.gov .pdf application error messages Jennifer Donais 22 Jul 2008 15:40 EST

Dear All:
In the last week or two, I have submitted two .pdf applications packages
through Grants.gov where I received error or rejection notices via email
after submission. Today, after being transferred three times, I was
told the attachments were too large & I should reduce their size. After
that, I received another email saying G.g had validated the same
application. So I called back & they told me, "Okay, just ignore the
rejection email." It was the same type of scenario last week with the
other one (different error message, same advice from G.g folks).

I was very dismayed that I had to speak to no less than 4 people at
Grants.gov and less than satisfied with the final result - just "ignore
the error/rejection message". To put the icing on the cake, the last
person I spoke to today told me she was not allowed to give me her last
name! Is it just me having these kinds of problems? And really, how
can the Help Desk be so unhelpful?

Thanks for letting me vent & also for any commiseration you can give me!
-jennifer
