Re: SF424 Application - Field is yellow and is not mandatory !! Kristy Ford 18 Jul 2007 08:49 EST

In Grants.gov the yellow fields indicate that it is mandatory to Grants.gov, though it may not be mandatory to NIH. When submitting through Grants.gov, you need to follow both the Grants.gov requirements, which are indicated with yellow fields, and the agency's requirements. If any yellow fields are left blank, Grants.gov will reflect that as an error and the application will not process properly.

Hope this helps!

I am working on an NIH SF424 application and one field seems to be locked as yellow. The field is not mandatory but it is yellow. I think the PI started typing and realized that the data should not be there and deleted the numbers but the field will not turn back white again no matter what I do.

Any suggestions?!
Thanks,
Esteria
