Re: Grants.gov applications to the U.S. Dept. of Justice Moore, Charles 02 Mar 2007 08:45 EST

You may want to make sure you have a full and complete final version before submission. I know this is standard practice, but should you find yourself needing to submit a replacement application, it isn't as automatic as with other sponsors. We had a situation where we needed to submit a correction prior to the close date and it took a couple extra steps. The DOJ contact had to call an in-house meeting then coordinate both the second grants.gov submission plus additional e-mail explanation before they could switch out the application.

Other than that one bump in the road, it proved to be a very standard and smooth submission. We've now done a couple to DOJ to date.

Cheers,
Charles

Has anyone had any problems submitting to DOJ via Grants.gov? We have
an application coming our way on the deadline date, and with no prior experience with Grants.gov and this agency I am not sure how concerned we should be about it, though of course I know it is not a good plan to
submit on the deadline. If you have been though the process with DOJ
and have any hints to share I would appreciate it-

Thanks all--
