Re: Sharing of Successful Proposals Larkin Tom 14 Nov 2006 17:23 EST

Thanks for those who have weighed in on this. I recently experienced
how useful sharing can be when working with a staff member here on an
Upward Bound proposal. As it happened she found a funded UB proposal
online. She benefited greatly (she is a first time applicant) from
seeing someone else's approach. She did not steal ideas, just profited
from the livelier more descriptive approach and went on to greatly
improve our own proposal.

Many of us are self-trained as grant writers and it can be very
clarifying to see how others have handled the challenges of describing
their institution and plans.
